I'd love art therapy, music therapy or sandbox therapy. Anything in the creative arts would be amazing!

Interactive EFT (Tapping) Session Options
Jonathan haber
Jill Cremeans: "I want to be walked through...a tapping exercise that will result in me feeling better in that moment..."
This proposal suggests adding interactive Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT or "tapping") sessions to IX Coach, where the AI would guide users through step-by-step tapping exercises.
The primary intent would be immediate emotional relief or reduced anxiety during particularly stressful moments, without requiring users to independently navigate challenging emotions.
This would effectively be a custom coach trained in EFT who tends towards that method, and you can throw anything at it and it would attempt to bridge the gap between using EFT specifically for what you are exploring.
Any feedback on deepening the architecture or the design of this proposal is invited.
Individual experiences and effectiveness may vary.
If you support Jill’s suggestion for structured tapping sessions, vote here!

Hypnotic Coaching Sessions - Integration of Hypnosis Techniques with your Session
Jonathan haber
This proposal considers adding interactive hypnosis-inspired coaching sessions guided by the IX Coach AI, specifically crafted to support users in moments of acute overwhelm.
These sessions would offer structured, calming experiences intended to help shift emotional states in real-time, though effectiveness might vary person-to-person.
If Jill’s interest in sessions that directly aim towards emotional relief through hypnotic-style guidance resonates with you, vote or comment here!
"I wanna be hypnotized... It feels like I'm drowning & no I don't want to just observe the drowning & see how it goes then, ya know what I mean??"

Pragmatic, Action-Oriented Session Mode
Jonathan haber
re: "I don't want to be responsible for solving everything myself or knowing what it feels like 'to sit with it'.
This proposal explores creating a distinct coaching mode within IX Coach that focuses explicitly on practical, action-oriented guidance, rather than it inviting self-awareness as a common theme or observational approaches.
Sessions in this mode would directly suggest immediate, concrete steps, exercises, or techniques to shift ones state of mind or circumstances — intentionally leaning away from reflective or self-directed methods.
It would involve coaching optimized towards
pragmatism over self reflection
the coach taking more leadership over waiting for consent
you being trusted to say no or redirect it when you don't resonate so it can utilize the time more effectively towards getting you the outcome your wanting
If Jill’s preference for pragmatic coaching sessions resonates with you, vote here!

Help with Improving Communication Skills
Jonathan haber
Several folks asked for coaching specifically on communication skills, I think this is worth building out. I see methods from Circling, Authentic Relating, and more as viable possibilities.

When I get responses to "feel" or "sense" in my body -- I remind it that I do not have those skills developed and ask for a more thinking approach. Also, I directly ask for action steps and the coach always helps and give options then we tweek it from there

Great tool, should develop a set of principles!

This is a great tool. I came by this as I thought of some ideas and wanted to create an AI coach. I trialed with a short conversation and it did an amazing job. My suggestion would be developing a set of principles to this AI Coach. Beause it starts the conversation with asking about my challenges/ what blocks me... which is very negative and might lead the conversation into nowhere. Erikson's principles would help. Thanks.
